This record is dedicated to the incredible spirit and everlasting memory of my beloved Son, Sage Edward Jackson Schermerhorn who was born March 31st 2016 and passed away from complications of a rare and devastating Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation on June 25th 2016 at Children's Hospital in Boston. I wrote and recorded the songs for this album in the months leading up to his birth, during a time of incomparable conviction and transformation as I searched, steadied, and prepared myself to be his Father.

These songs are now a document anticipating a lifetime that did not arrive in a way I could have ever predicted. In order to remain connected to Sage and to the person I've become because of him, my purpose is to aid those who worked so selflessly and tirelessly to help him and understand his condition; who shared his life with my family and I, and who I am endlessly grateful for.

All proceeds from this album will be donated to Dr. Darren Orbach and Dr. Edward Smiths Center for Cerebrovascular Surgery and Interventions.
